Chicken pasta bake
Easy to make, tasty chicken pasta dish that will suit the whole family, suitable from 8 months
Ingredients
- 400g pasta
- 300g chicken breast, diced
- 1 400g can tomatoes
- 1 drizzle olive oil
- 75g cheese, grated
- 1 handful fresh basil
Method
- STEP 1
Place the chicken in an oven-proof dish, drizzle with olive oil and cook at 200C/400F/Gas mark 6 for about 20 minutes. - STEP 2
While the chicken is cooking, place the pasta in a large saucepan of water and simmer for around 10 minutes. - STEP 3
Add the pasta, tomatoes and basil to the chicken and bake for a further 15 minutes. - STEP 4
Finally, sprinkle with cheese and bake for around 10 minutes until the cheese is golden. - STEP 5
Mash to the required consistency.
This dish provides the perfect opportunity to add in other finely chopped veg such as mushrooms, onions or peppers to the sauce.
