Quick and easy cheese pasta sauce recipe suitable for babies from 6 months. Use as a pasta sauce or white sauce for lasagne
- Butter 25g
- Plain flour 25g
- Whole milk 500ml
- Cheddar cheese 100g, grated
- STEP 1
Heat the butter in a pan until melted.
- STEP 2
Stir in the flour to make a smooth paste (roux).
- STEP 3
Gradually add the milk, stirring until smooth.
- STEP 4
Simmer for 8-10 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens.
- STEP 5
Remove from the heat and stir in the cheese until melted.
Omit the cheese and use the white sauce as a base for other dishes such as lasagne.
