Easy salmon pasta
Quick and easy salmon pasta recipe suitable for babies from 6 months. Makes a great lunch for mum too!
Ingredients
- small salmon fillet 1, checked for bones
- Baby pasta 50g
- small leek 1/2, sliced and diced
- Broccoli 50g
- parmesan cheese 3 tbsp, grated
- crème fraiche 4 tbsp
- Milk 5 tbsp
- Olive oil 1 tbsp
Method
- STEP 1
Place the salmon in a microwaveable bowl with 2 tablespoons of milk and cook in the microwave for 2 minutes. Check the salmon for any bones and flake. - STEP 2
Cook the baby pasta. If you have a steamer pan, steam the broccoli above the boiling pasta for 4-5 minutes. Alternatively, cook the broccoli in a pan of boiling water for 4 mins. - STEP 3
Place the leek in a saucepan with a little olive oil and cook over the heat until soft. Add the rest of the milk, bring to the boil, then add the salmon and poach for 3-4 mins. - STEP 4
Stir in the cheese until melted, then add the pasta. - STEP 5
Stir in the crème fraiche and mash to the desired consistency.
If you don't have parmesan to hand, any full flavoured cheese, such as Cheddar, can be used.
This makes a great lunch for mum too – add an extra touch of cheese and some black pepper – and don't puree!
